This past week, members of the Bellefonte Area School District voted to retire their Native American themed imagery within their district!
After a special meeting period of public comment from the community, the board voted 8-1. This is a great step towards racial and social equity and equality for all!
The BSD School Board will hold another meeting on April 27 for discussion on changing the name of the representation, the "Red Raiders." All community members are welcome to speak at the meeting.
