Feds interfere with New York State ban

The Federal Department of Education and President Trump are interfering in the New York State ban on Native mascots, supporting a Long Island High School who refuses to comply. Most New York schools have already complied with the this state ban. The NY Department of Education has ruled that schools in the state who do not comply with their Native mascot ban will lose funding.

Education secretary Linda McMahon has got it backwards as she favors naga (Native American Guardian Association) the maga-style group whose membership is predominantly non-Native with only a handful of Native members.

Native mascots do not represent or teach Native history, in fact they indoctrinate students, community members and sports fanatics with harmful, false history and revisionism. No other racial imagery is acceptable in sports representation.

McMahon mentions two other mascots to hold up as examples, which are false equivalents, as she ignores the fact that Huguenots were a religious group (not a race) and Dutchmen was/is a citizen of the Netherlands (not a race). And perhaps even more significant, those groups did not experience a 95 % population depletion, in their own homeland, now surrounded by those who perpetrated that depletion.

It is twisted that she states the school's "civil rights" were violated, when the Indigenous peoples of the land on which the school is located, were nearly decimated.
