The current administration is setting aside 40 million dollars to create a National Garden of 250 American Heroes. The insult to Native Nations is that the plan locates this Park in the foreground of Mt. Rushmore which is the most sacred and holy land for the Lakota people.

The US Government broke their treaties with the Lakota and carved the US Presidents on their sacred mountain. The disregard and disrespect for the Indigenous Peoples continues with the Trump administration. Furthermore this is in the context of the many financial cuts to the health and welfare of Native communities since he took office.

The Lakota have been fighting for the return of their land since 1868, when gold was discovered and the government did not uphold their treaty promise. The BLACK HILLS JUSTICE movement seeks to return their sacred lands back to the Lakota People.
